Today my husband, in good faith, tried to help a stranded man get to his destination by giving him a ride. Once they arrived, James had to get out of the truck and walk around to the man's door to let him out, due to the child locks he has installed.  During the 5-10 seconds that took, the stranger located a hidden envelope, that contained $1900.00 cash, (James had been on his way to the bank to deposit this money) and stole it out of James's truck. James had forgotten to remove the envelope from his console before letting the man in. He's been beating himself himself up over this since it happened...

Anyone who knows James knows he doesn't normally carry that kind of money with him, and wouldn't normally have left it in the reach of a thief. But today,  it all happened so fast-- and now our house payment, along with our grocery money, (among other neccessities) is GONE. We are a bit stressed out..

James contacted and met with the police, and spent another 2 hours looking for the man, to no avail.  We will now attempt to replace the money by James taking on yet more work, and budgeting very, VERY tightly. We are asking for help from anyone who might feel led. No amount is too small. Thanks in advance.  -M Luce
