Money for the Town of Luquillo

Luquillo is family.

Luquillo, Puerto Rico is a loving community that welcomes everyone like family. After a Puerto Rican near miss from Hurrican Irma, Luquillo provided much-needed assistance to neighboring islands. Unfortunately, this left local stores with minimal supplies to use in preparation for Hurricane Maria. When the eye of the storm passed over Puerto Rico, Maria carried sustained winds of 174mph - one mile an hour under a category 5 hurricane. It was devastating!

Families that live and work in this small local community are far from airports and ports where assistance from major organizations arrives. Gasoline and other necessities are rationed; therefore, families who already have very little must choose between driving somewhere to receive assistance or having gasoline for their generators.

Most Luquillo residents are still without power and communication. It is our desire to provide relief for the Luquillo community. Our goal of $30,000 will be donated directly to the city of Luquillo, Puerto Rico, under the distribution of Mayor Jesús Márquez Rodríguez.

So much needs to be done. Homes were leveled. Businesses were washed away. Families were left with no place left to live or no jobs to return to. Every dollar that you donate can directly help someone whose life has been devastated by Maria.
