<div>Hallo, mein Name ist Peter. Nach einem Jahr voller medizinischer Höhen und Tiefen ist meine Mutter letzte Woche, in der Nacht vom 3. auf den 4. Dezember, verstorben.

<div>Mein Vater, meine Onkel, meine Geschwister und ich haben gehofft und gekämpft, so sehr wir konnten, aber am Ende konnten wir nichts mehr tun. Sie hat gegen Krebs, mehrere Schlaganfälle und viele andere schreckliche Dinge gekämpft, die sie völlig unerwartet getroffen haben — und trotzdem hat sie es unglaublich weit geschafft. Am Ende ist sie im Alter von 59 Jahren friedlich eingeschlafen.

<div>Jetzt stehen wir vor vielen seelischen und finanziellen Herausforderungen. Besonders die Kosten für die Beerdigung sind zu einem großen Problem geworden, da sie viel höher sind, als wir erwartet hatten.  
</div>
<div>Deshalb habe ich mich entschieden, eine GoFundMe-Seite zu starten. Ich habe so etwas noch nie gemacht und weiß nicht, ob es wirklich helfen wird, aber ich hoffe es sehr.

<div>Hello, my name is Peter. After a year of medical ups and downs, my mother passed away last week, during the night of December 3rd to 4th.

<div>My father, my uncles, my siblings, and I hoped and fought as hard as we could, but in the end, there was nothing more we could do. She battled cancer, multiple strokes, and all kinds of other horrible things that came at her out of nowhere — and yet she made it incredibly far. At the end she fell asleep at the age of 59.

<div>Now we’re facing a lot of mental and financial challenges. The cost of her funeral, in particular, has turned out to be a big problem, as it’s far more expensive than expected.  
</div>
<div>Because of that, I decided to start a GoFundMe. I’ve never done anything like this before, and I don’t know if it will help, but I really hope so.  
</div>
