Taylor and Mike Monen will be matching dollar for dollar all funds raised up to the goal through this GoFundMe campaign for their employees.
Monen Family Restaurant Group and the employees of Taco Mamacita, Milk & Honey, Hi-Fi Clyde's, Urban Stack, Community Pie, Market South and Five Wits Brewing Company have experienced a situation that we would have never thought possible over the last few days. We made the unbelievably difficult decision to temporarily close all 9 of our restaurant locations in Nashville and Chattanooga. Almost 600 of our employees suddenly found themselves without jobs due to the crisis that is being caused by the spread of the COVID-19 virus and our inability to continue to financially support them through the time that our restaurants will be shuttered.
Please consider contributing to this GoFundMe campaign that we have set up today to help raise funds that are going to go directly to our employees. These funds will be equally split amongst all Monen Family Restaurant Group employees, front of house and back of house, that have been affected by these layoffs and the temporary closure of our restaurants. We would also appreciate your help in spreading the word that we have launched this campaign to help our team.
These hard-working, incredibly awesome people ARE the Monen Family and we need your help keeping them on their feet while our restaurants are temporarily closed and they are without the jobs that keep them fed and pay their bills. We are doing everything we can to make sure that every one of these employees are able to return to their jobs at our restaurants and pick up right where we left off before this unthinkable disaster ripped through our industry.
