We all need a little help every now and then. Today it's our turn to ask for a little help from our friends.
My wife Melissa was diagnosed with a brain tumor in June. The doctors felt it was important for her to enjoy the summer with family and friends before proceeding with treatment due to her preexisting medical complications with Lupus. This allowed her time to gain some strength mentally, physically, and emotionally to deal with the battle she faced ahead.
This month Melissa will be undergoing chemo therapy. Our hope and prayer is that the chemo will do it's job in shrinking the tumor down to a size that will be non significant. If the chemo treatment is not fully effective the neurosurgeon is planning on proceeding with surgery in November. If my wife has to undergo surgery there will be many months of her being gone for rehabilitation.
Our lives are full of uncertainty right now and my desire is to give my family some reassurance that no matter what happens we will be ok financially. She continues to tell me that, "The show must go on!" but the reality of our situation is that there may come a time where I will need to cancel performances to stay home to take care of her and our seven year old son. Also, with our daughter leaving home for her second year of college in just a few shorts days I want to assure her that we will be ok while she is away.
I am humbly asking all my friends and family that if you are able to help in giving us some stability with our finances through this difficult time please take a moment to donate.
