Mona's Kitchen- House Fire

Anyone who has met Mona has immediately been loved...and most likely fed shortly after.  She is "mom" to everyone she meets and "Mom's Kitchen is Always Open" as the burned sign still hanging on the soot covered wall says.  Food is her love language and she loves A LOT, so she cooks A LOT.  A huge theme for our family is the love of bacon.  In an ironic twist, on 8/18 the daily bacon was being prepped for breakfast when a fire started. It raged out of control until it was put out by the quick responding volunteer township fire department. We are left with extensive smoke, fire and water damage.  The initial estimates from rehab companies of 25-40thousand dollars are far beyond attainable for our family as there is no insurance coverage.  We are a close knit family that will figure it out, but we know that Mom has touched so many people, we thought this page would be a great opportunity for the people who wish they could "do something but don't know what".  hopefully a goal of 5k will help with materials and we will always be thankful for man power if you have a helping hand to offer. if you've ever been fed by mona; in the middle of the night, during a celebration, at a sad time, just because, when you worked with/dated/hung out with one of her children, when she became a patron of your business, when you were sick, when u were not hungry at all but looked too thin to her... or you've somehow never had the pleasure, but just adore her and her heart like so many of us do, please pitch in however you can. together, we will get the house back together and the kitchen back up! Bacon for everyone... eventually :)
