One more.
Not one more fundraiser.
Not one more donation.
One more is asked yet one more time.
For those of you who know me, you know that music is one of the biggest constants in my life. Something is playing from the very moment I awake until later that evening when I finally unplug. Always has been. Always will be.
Music is my most appreciated form of art. I love the lyrics, I love the sound, but most of all, I love the personal interpretation.
The above song struck me the very first time I listened. It resonated on two fronts. I felt our shared pains and worries as we focus every day on covid and the tentacles that are attached.
I also immediately drew images of the 141 children that I saw at the Monadnock Region Child Advocacy Center last year.
If you know of my love for music than you also know what I do for work. I am a forensic interviewer. I interview children in Cheshire County who have been either sexually or physically abused.
These children and their families come to our center and are often scared, often lost and are looking for help.
The Monadnock Region Child Advocacy Center is simply a stop along the way in their journey. We give support, provide services and attempt to make their time with us here as comforting as possible.
So, as I started this plea with “on more”, “not one more”, know that those of us in this profession say the same thing every day when a child comes to talk about things they should not even know. “Not one more”!
If able, please follow my link and make “one more” donation. Thanks to all and remember, like the music and song says, we’ve got “Each other”.
