Mom's Home & Car Destroyed in Flood

My 60 year old mom woke up to in the middle of the night to her dogs barking. My stepdad went to see what was happening and in disbelief saw his home flooded. Water pouring into their basement and garage quicker than they could manage digest what was happening.
This past week, record breaking storms and floods hit Lake County, IL. Our family was hit hard. By morning my mom's basement, garage, driveway and yard were a lake. She lost her car, riding lawnmower, tools, fridge, washer, dryer, television, desktop computer, furniture, personal items, and boxes on boxes of memories.
In shock and broken she held her spirits knowing everyone was okay and she had FEMA insurance, Everything would be alright. We would get through this hardship. Lots of family and friends began to help my mom and stepdad recover by bringing over meals and pumping the water out, little by little things were coming along.
Her car was towed to be evaluated and the FEMA adjuster was on his way to evaluate the damages. But after meeting with the adjuster she was heart broken. She was informed that only a few things would be covered by the insurance. Her furnance, water heater, AC, and dry wall would only be covered, nothing else. The washer, dryer, fridge, bathroom, tools, riding lawnmower, furniture, personal belongings, memories, and cost of labor and most materials to recover and fix the garage and basement, and not to mention time off from work, will not be covered.
We are asking for your support. If you are able to donate, no amount is too small, to help my mom and stepdad. If you're not able to support finacially we would appreciate you sharing this page to your friends on social media or word of mouth. Any support is greatly and wholeheartedly appreciated. We hope that my mom and stepdad can survive this terrible event without a huge pile of debt and bad memories.
