Mom’s disability

Donation protected

Hello friends, family and strangers.

My name is Marissa, I am Annette Harnish’s daughter. As many to most know my mom has been struggling with diabetes her whole life. In 2018 right before her oldest grandson was born she started having foot pain and it was to the point where she at the doctors weekly. At first the doctor thought she had a really bad infection, until about 2-3 months after when they FINALLY decided to look further into things. Not only was her foot infected but her bones were deteriorating from a disease called Charcott foot.

On April 4th 2019 mom had reconstructive surgery on her foot, and we were hoping things would get better, instead things got much worse. She had a follow up with her family doctor and she was told everything was good to go and she was able to walk on her foot again. In July of 2019 when she was in Banff she stepped down off a curb and heard a huge crack and the pain was unbearable.

Between the months of July 2019 to April 2020 my mother had to make one of the hardest decisions of her life. On April 4th 2020 she became a amputee.

With her being a disability for almost 2 years now and being independent money has been tough. Each year my mom will need to put money towards her leg and she is not able to afford it. All I am asking is that we can come together and get her the new leg she needs. If you are not able to donate then please share.

Thank you for your time.
