Her name is Cel, we often call her Mommy Cel. She is 69 years old and is currently a widow. Her husband died last December 09, 2002 which happens to be her birthday, for the past 18 years she doesn't celebrate because of her undying love for her husband in deep pain and sorrow for her loss.
She's a loving mother of four (4) children and she has five (5) grandchildren that she wants to see grow up. She's a typical Filipino loving homemaker, a loving mother, a loving grandmother, and she is well loved by her neighbors as mother of all and often called as Nanay (Filipino term for Mother). She takes good care of everyone who needs help and generously extends her hand for those people who are in need.
Before COVID-19 she used to go to the market, doing household chores. Her daily morning routine is exercising, and sharing smiles to her neighbors and to those people who she passed by.
Because of the pandemic, she was forced to stay at home same as everyone else because of the lockdown. After that, her family have seen her depressed and sad.
One day, she was cleaning the house and she complained about her difficulty in walking and standing, she also experienced shortness of breath. That's why her family decided to rush her to the nearest hospital. Despite of financial problems, her family did not hesitate to seek immediate help and medical procedures.
The first procedure was the CT Scan for her brain and chest. The results surprised the family that she's already suffering from mild stroke and SEVERE pneumonia. The doctors advised for her confinement at the hospital.
We are knocking in your good heart to help us with their expenses.
Due to the pandemic all of her children have unstable jobs. Some of them are working in skeletal workforce and two of her children are already a provider of their families. This is the first time they asked for help because they cannot afford the bills. They also seek help from different government foundations. Sadly, because of the pandemic the government cannot provide much because the funds are going through the COVID patients and cannot focus on other diseases.
Whatever amount you can provide will be of great help. We just want to see our mother to smile again. Our mother is very strong and she promised that she will fight. Please help our mother in this battle, in terms of finances and also in your kind prayers.
Continued updates are to be posted here from all of your donations.
Our fighter is recovering and we are hoping and praying for her speedy recovery.
