Mommoms fight to beat stage 4

Donation protected
July 24th my grandmothers world was flipped upside down. For a couple of weeks she was feeling very uneasy; bumping into walls, very off balance on her feet and severe migraines. From that she took a visit to her primary doctor where they determined it was high blood pressure that was possibly causing all of this. After about a week of being on the medication and none of these symptoms showed any signs of going away and she forgot Diesel(her dog)outside she finally had enough.

On the night of July 24th, she decided it was time to take a trip to the Emergency Room. We got there at about 8:30PM and after about 3 hours of waiting in the waiting room they finally took her to the back for a Cat Scan. I know what you are thinking worse thing possible was she had a stroke because that was my thoughts too. Around 1 AM some random man comes into mommoms room and I'm pretty sure he wasn't even the doctor he was just the cat scan technicians. Looks my grandmother straight in the eyes without a care in the world saying "we honestly have no idea what it is. We really have no clue but you most likely have brain cancer." Mommom got frantic and was asking to go outside and as I was trying to calm her down this man casually just walks out of the room with out saying another word after "no idea, but most likely brain cancer."

2 AM: Mommom was transported to Atlantic City Hospital where the remainder of test and procedures were done over the course of the following week. They preformed a number of cat scans and MRIs where they then discovered there was 6 lesions located on her brain. July 30th Mommom went in for them to preform a biopsy on one of the lesions. The following week is when we got the news. Mommom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer that has spread to her brain. 69 years of a healthy life everything was flipped upside in the matter of a weeks time.

Many of you that know me or my family know this is nearly impossible for us to ask. With radiation starting, and chemotherapy following that we are finally hitting that point where financially Mommom is not okay. She is no longer able to work therefor she only has a very small social security retirement check coming in monthly which is hardly covering her bills. She is finally hitting that point of barely scrapping by. So as we all know the struggles and this is one of the hardest things we have ever had to and that is simply asking for help. Any little bit will help. With all of this going on the last thing I want my grandmother worrying about is how shes going to pay her next bill.

From the bottom of our hearts we thank you.
