<div>Hello, we're Regan (cousin and niece) and Susie (auntie and sister), and we're reaching out on behalf of our beloved Julie Ranoa and her mom, Janis. In an unimaginable twist of fate, <strong>both Julie and Janis have been diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time</strong> and their family is in <strong>desperate need of our support</strong>.

<div>Julie is a single mother who works hard to provide for her 8-year-old daughter, Kailea. She received her diagnosis in November 2022 and has been scraping funds together to help cover the medical bills. Devastatingly, on June 6, 2023, her mother Janis, who is a retired school teacher, was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time. <strong>The impact of this dual diagnosis on their family is indescribable.</strong>

<div>Now, more than ever, they require our financial assistance to navigate the challenging road ahead. Julie is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy/immunotherapy and is scheduled for breast surgery in San Francisco. Her treatment will continue until January 2024, including radiation and ongoing immunotherapy. Janis will soon begin her own treatment journey, starting with surgery. Remarkably, they are <strong>both facing breast surgeries in the same month of July</strong>.

<div>To compound matters, it was recently discovered that both Janis and Julie carry an inherited genetic mutation called <strong>PALB2</strong>, responsible for their breast cancer. This r<strong>are occurrence affects only 10% of breast cancer cases</strong> and is believed to have been passed down from Janis' mother. Sadly, they only became aware of this mutation in April 2023, missing the opportunity for preventative measures.
