Mom's Palliative Care

My mom is living her last days...
She started fighting against breast cancer back in 2017. She went through a radical mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Later in December 2018, she was detected with brain cancer (metastasis). Once again she had chemo and radiotherapies, which controlled the tumor for some time.
On Feb 1st, 2020, she fainted and we took her to the hospital. She couldn't talk. The exams confirmed that she had brain cancer again, and it had spread to the other side of the brain. Since then we have seen a decline in her health. We started taking care of her as she slowly stopped talking completely, walking, going to the bathroom, eating, and doing all of the basic things.
She is now in a near vegetable state and is not drinking or eating anything, plus she feels a lot of pain with a gentle move of a finger. We had to start palliative care to guarantee "quality" (no pain) in her last days. We had no idea how much this would cost. The first day was $200. The second day $150.
We just realize that this will go on and keep adding to the bill almost every day, which is why we are asking for your help to be able to afford the expensive process that is ahead of us to make sure that our mom has a painless time while she is still with us.

Comenzó a luchar contra el cáncer de mama en el 2017. Se sometió a una mastectomía radical, quimioterapia y radioterapia. Más tarde, en diciembre de 2018, fue detectada con cáncer cerebral (metástasis). Una vez más tuvo quimioterapia y radioterapia, que controlaron el tumor durante algún tiempo.
El 1ro de febrero de 2020, se desmayó y la llevamos al hospital. Ella no podía hablar. Los exámenes confirmaron que tenía cáncer cerebral nuevamente y que se había extendido al otro lado del cerebro. Desde entonces, hemos visto una disminución en su salud. Comenzamos a cuidarla mientras lentamente dejaba de hablar por completo, de caminar, ir al baño, de comer y todas sus funciones básicas.
Ahora está en un estado casi vegetal y no bebe ni come nada, además siente mucho dolor hasta con un movimiento suave de un dedo. Tuvimos que comenzar los cuidados paliativos para garantizar la "calidad" (sin dolor) en sus últimos días. No teníamos idea de cuánto costaría esto. El primer día fue de $200. El segundo día $150.
Simplemente nos damos cuenta de que esto continuará y seguiremos agregando a la factura casi todos los días, por eso estamos pidiendo su ayuda para poder pagar el costoso proceso que tenemos por delante para asegurarnos de que nuestra madre no tenga dolor mientras ella todavía está con nosotros.
