Mom's car was stolen!!!!

On February 15, 2018, my Mom's car Ruby was stolen from in front of her house. The pair took off with Ruby, her purse and cell phone. My sister Juli was able to track Ruby by using Find my Friends (stolen station-wagon) and updated dispatchers on the location of the thieves as they were pursued from Arcata to Eureka. During the pursuit the pair sideswiped another car and did a lot of damage to the undercarriage and it is unsafe to drive. The repair costs would be astronomical so poor Ruby will be totaled. *May Ruby RIP!* Ruby is not a fancy car so insurance won't cover much.
My Mom bought the car for my sister's dogs. My older sisters identical twins and they both use a Guide Dog for the Blind to assist them in getting around. My sisters can't drive and my Mom has gone many miles for my sisters and their dogs. Ruby was such a trusty wagon with good gas mileage and was easy for the dogs to jump into their giant dog bed in the back. As a bonus it was comfortable for my Mom to drive around.
Thanks to our friends, my Mom and sister are able to get rides to work and I will be their wheels this weekend.
My Mom has a torn meniscus and is going to have surgery very soon. She has always been very active and it has been hard for her to slow down. I am hoping she won't have to walk very far before we can surprise her with a vehicle!
SURPRISE!!!!!!! My Mom doesn't venture too far into the world wide web so we'll see how long we can keep this a secret ;)
