This is my Mom's 1951 Chevrolet Bel Air. It was her first car. It has been in dry storage since the early 70's. My goal is to have it restored and take her for a ride in it while she is still with us. Mom was born in 1933 so age is working against me. The car was partially disassembled when I first got it a few years ago from her Sister's Son. I continued to take it apart in hopes to restore it with help from Dad, but 2016 took him from us. Due to lack of time, ability, and finance, I have not done much to it since. I've been anxious to get back into it and put it in a shop for the work beyond what I can do but the pandemic has continued to stall the project. Now, I believe a professional shop may be my best bet to at least make a decent looking car out of it and put a smile on my Mom's face getting to ride in it again. Even after she is gone, this is something to keep in the family and pass it down generations to come. I realize this is an ambitious goal, but I'm not stopping until it is met. My Mom is worth the effort!
