Mom Competing in Extreme Triathlons in World

FUNDRAISER FOR A SINGLE MOM COMPETING IN EXTREME TRIATHLONS IN NEPAL May 6th 2023 AND WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN NORWAY August 5th 2023

As a single mother with a passion for competing in extreme sports, I am writing to seek your support and monetary sponsorship to help me compete in the 2023 Extreme World Triathlon Championships in Norway and Nepal 2023.

I have been training tirelessly for this competitions for months, and I am confident that I have what it takes to make a mark in these events. However, as a single mother, I face financial constraints that are hindering me from achieving my dream. I also aim to use this event as a platform to raise awareness for not only Women competing in sports, single mothers across the World but also for surviving victims of abusive relationships.

I believe that with your sponsorship, I will be able to participate in the competition with ease. The funds will help me pay for the necessary equipment, registration fees, accommodation, and travel expenses to the venue.

My name is Veronika Merchant, a mother, living in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I was born in Virginia, Fairfax, but raised in Europe/Czech Republic. I moved to Colorado when I was 22 for my life journey.

I choose to pursue a career in healing and bodywork to overcome challenges I am facing in my life and to help others overcome trauma and abuse they faced in their own lives.

I have always been passionate about sports, from rhythmic gymnastics to swimming, biking, skiing and running. But my love for extreme triathlons started when I challenged myself to a race on July 9th, 2022, which pushed me beyond my limits and tested my mind, body, and soul. Despite training for only seven weeks, I was nominated for the World Championships in Norway in August 2023.

Now, I am preparing for another Extreme Triathlon race, the HimalayanXtri in Nepal, on May 6th, 2023. This race is particularly challenging due to the high elevation and terrain, and it takes about 16-20 hours to cross the finish line. I believe that with your support, I can accomplish this feat.

But my journey to get here has not been easy. I am dealing with extreme life challenges and these extreme performances are giving me the courage to see the INFINITE STRENGTH IN MYSELF AND IN ALL OF US!" I found healing and love for myself in Silence and out on the trail in Nature.
