Molly's 42 degrees of Scoliosis

14 year old Molly has been diagnosed with Scolisosis, a medical condition of the spine that is common in teenagers and Molly has an extreme and very painful version with a 42 degree curvature meaning she is in constant and excruciating pain, with numbness and loss of movement. More painfully this teenager whose passion for dance and life is being limited due to the pain. Her mum, Emma is one of the most amazing and nicest people I know and has been funding private treatment of MRI's, physio, consultants and other treatments in this terrifying time as the NHS is slow and treatment is time critical so I have set up this campaign to raise money for Molly's treatment. Here is Molly's story in her own words.
Hello my name is Molly. My mum calls me Moo I’m am  14 today!! Two months ago I was diagnosed with idiopathic lumbar scoliosis which means I have a curve in my spine that is at 42 degrees at the moment and could get worse as I grow. This has come to us as a right shock. In just a few weeks my back really aches and a few days ago my right leg decided to not work to great I was bought out of school in a wheel chair and am now walking in a fashion with a crutch (most annoying) school is now a bit of a problem trying to get about and I find it hard to concentrate as I hurt sitting for two hours in each lesson Since I was diagnosed the NHS have been a tad slow to the point I have not seen anyone yet! My mum has been like a crazy woman trying to work and get me to see the best Dr to fix my back. She has done this privately . I have to have a MRI scan mum also booked this as I can’t really wait for the NHS because I’m growing still and changing by the day. My bend is getting bendier I need to have a brace fitted to stop it getting worse. The brace won’t fix me only surgery .... this is a journey I am just starting .... it will be long and I will be brave as I have my dance family xxxxx Oh and my family family.
