Hi i am Molly a very cheeky greyhound indeed. (BTW there are some gorgeous snaps of me at the bottom of the post :D)

I had a bit of a ruff year to say the least. I was outside one Friday evening in August, my dog mama had just got back from work (she is a key worker) and i was outside having a good old sniff, the smells were excellent that evening and i, well was having a good run, the breeze was in my fur, the world was my oyster and before i knew it i had done a roly poly over my leg.

When i got up it was kind of hanging, bloody hell it hurt! i believe i did what is known as the 'greyhound death scream'.
My dog mama came racing towards me and cuddled me tight but the pain was bad, real bad, i started to panic. A kind man saw what happened and rushed to get his car. As we were quite a bit away from the road my dog mama used all her energy to pick me up and carry me (i am taller than her, but don't say anything it is a touchy subject :P).

My dog mama rang my usual vets and they got me in as an emergency, the kind man drove me there. He would not leave me or my dog mama he was a real hero.
When i arrived at the vets my leg had swollen really bad and i was in a real panic :O i had seen dogs at the race track in my old job with such injuries and i thought they were milking it, but bloody hell i was scared.
The vets were excellent i was there for 3-4hours as the fear had gotten to me and i was overheating, l was shaking and my little heart was trying to burst, i have been told i nearly died.

But anyway, to cut a long story short i went home with mum that evening before she drove me up to Cumbria on the Saturday for emergency surgery.
I was in for over a week, it was a lovely spot :) and the food was GREAT!
Although i came home with a metal thing on my leg, i mean really how can a lady strut her stuff with that thing? Oh and a lampshade on my head, that soon went, i would not stand for that nonsense.

It turns out i had broken my leg in 17 places :O the surgeon had not seen something like that in a long time.
Days and weeks of cleaning each wound where the pins are, painkillers, X-rays, splints, drives back and fourth to the surgeons, vets and here i am today.
Apparently my dog mama had not insured me and nearly 5 months later i may need more surgery as my leg has healed a bit wonky over a tendon.

My dog mama was very cuddly when she picked me up from the vets today (29/12/20) as the splint i had been wearing had caused a nasty hole right down to the bone, the vet was not sure i would survive over Christmas but my dog mama was very strict in cleaning the area daily and the vet said i had pulled through :D

She cried when she picked me up and everyone was smiling, i guess i didn't know how serious things were. So here i am today, still with an infection but the wound is healing, a wonky looking leg that may need more surgery and a dog mama paying for all my glamorous visits.
There are a few videos of me on here if you want to nosey: https://www.instagram.com/littlemisstq/

If you could donate anything to my on going treatment i would be forever grateful as I've spent a good £6,000 ( i mean i am a fabulous lady :P) even a quid would really help.

See you in the NEW YEAR!

Lots of Love

Molly the Greyhound XOXO
