Mollie's Mayhem

Donation protected
This little blue eyed doll is Mollie Fox. On June 15th, Mollie was taken into the local emergency room due to not feeling well. It was discovered that her sugar level was at 840. She was then sent via EMS to a much larger hospital and placed into PICU where she spent the next 3 days. At 21 months of age she was officially diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.  Mollie returned home to her busy life with both parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. In the first week at home, she refused to go near or speak to anyone other than her parents due to the overwhelming life change she was thrown into. During her time at home she has struggled with some very low blood sugars throughout the night. She is currently awaiting the approval from her insurance for a CGM.  With technology not always being 100% and Mollie not being old enough to truly verbalize how she is feeling, the family is looking to obtain a Diabetic Service Dog. An agency has already been lined up to train a puppy into a service dog that would alert eirher parent when Mollie is having a low sugar episode. The goal is between the CGM and service dog that Mollie's low sugars are always caught before anything dangerous can happen. Between the purchase of the dog, training for 6 months, and travel expenses to unit Mollie with the dog is an outstanding amount. We are asking for any donation that will help make sure to keep this precious child is safe and can continue to thrive a normal as possible.
