Mollie Regal Assistance Fund

What a year! Mollie started the year with loosing the sight in her right eye from a stroke the Dr.'s blamed on diabetes. She quickly went into action and took charge of her health. She at this time did not have health insurance so all Dr. visits, medications, and procedures were covered with the saving she had. She finally received health insurance and things were on a great path.  She had completely changed her lifestyle lost more than 40 lbs and was eating healthy and working out. Much to all our surprise this wasn't enough, she suffered multiple strokes in May. She was taken to Peoria OSF via ambulance where we were all told the situation could be grave. She was admitted into the ICU for a 72 hour watch to make sure her brain didn't swell too much. If so, they would be removing a portion of the skull to allow the brain to swell. We were all so terrified!  Mollie is a fighter after the initial ICU stay she suffered two more strokes that were mini but put her back a little. She stayed in Peoria for 2 weeks and after that was transferred home to Genesis West in Davenport for intense therapy. She stayed there for 2 weeks and received valuable help. Mollie was then released to go "home" she stayed with her Mom for the assistance she would need. All while hoping and praying she could return to her home and her regular lifestyle. Mollie has been staying there for the past couple of months and is ready to be on her own. She has been paying all her bills from saving and hasn't worked since the first part of May. She needs our help, those that have asked what they can do??? Well here is where we come in and help. She needs us! Let's all raise a little money for her so she can continue her journey of health. Mollie would use all this money for her day to day living expenses. If we can raise enough money we can get her to a point where the financial burden is less. Our family is concerned the stress level of her finances can set her back and as all of you you she has made great strides, but has given up some of the things she has loved since the strokes. Please consider helping a person that has always been there for everyone else. She has a heart of gold and needs our help. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

~With much love and appreciation, Mollie's family
