Help 2 young adults.Mold Infested Home

Hello Everyone, It saddens me to have to do this and Im usually the type of person that loves making peoples job easier and never wants to cause a fuss. But now i have to due to me and my roommate (we are both 20 years old and this is our first apartment) being evicted for not paying rent on time.. well let me tell u why….We have been living with mold for 6 months. YES 6 MONTHS. We have gotten sick and haven’t been able to work ( which we emailed them daily and told them) getting sick caused us to not be able to work which caused us to lose our jobs. (We couldn’t leave because we had no where to go or no Support system)
The only time we heard from them was TODAY when they sent the eviction notice (we haven’t received ANYTHING IN THE MAIL AND NEVER GOT A WARNING OR HEADS UP OR LITERALLY ANYTHING SO NOW ITS 2 days. YES 2 days before we have to move everything out of our apartment.
UPDATE: We have called a couple of attorneys,health department,court houses,mals,legal services and etc.(everyone is saying its too late since the court date has already happened or that they don’t represent tenants only landlords). we do not WANT to stay here So we are fundraising $8,500 to go TOWARDS a Attorney that can help,a new home, and the debt we “owe” the apartments. Any and everything helps. Thanks so much
