We are on a mission to eliminate ignorance from our society, the holdup was the delay in establishing a platform / institution to execute our vision…

From the beginning of civilization until the present day what we have noticed is that there have always been two sides to every great story.  The two sides are; those who promote, freedom, equality and justice and those who promote enslavement of other. Moses vs Pharaoh, David vs Goliath, Jesus vs the Roman empire, Hussain vs Yazeed.

We human are relative beings which means that in order for us to function logically and rationally, we need an absolute frame of reference or a role model.  Successful societies have used role models such as Jesus, Moses, David, Mohammad ibn Abdullah and Hussain Ibn Ali who brought people out of ignorance. 

We at Mohammadia Center of Northern Virginia believe that communities that are successful are not just lucky, it’s their connection with an absolute role-model, hard-work and dedication which makes them successful. Our goal is to bring down unnecessary walls between different faiths and communities, empower the youth and help those in need. Our vision entails:

1.       Educating communities to promote Justice, peace, universal equality and tackle social issues

2.       Interfaith Harmony to bridge the gap between communities

3.       Community empowerment through volunteering at local events

4.       Fundraising for those in need (Disaster relief, Widows & Orphans)

 

For over a decade we have been struggling to establish an institution to help us achieve our vision / goals. The biggest struggle has been raising funds.

With the help of local community’s donation and “Interest free Loans” ( Qarz e Hasna ) we were able to raise just enough funds to buy land for this project. In order for us to continue with this effort we request your generous cooperation.

Following is the breakdown of our funding status:

Funds needed for the building project :    $942,000
Funds to Payback interest free loans :      $215,000
Total Funds needed :                                            $1,157,000
 

Mohammadia Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is solely funded by grants, services and individual donors. This center also has permission from Marja  to receive Khums.
