Mogul Training and Equipment

I am trying to raise money to help pay training and equipment costs for mogul competitions. 

I learned how to ski the bumps on the Fab 4 at Pajarito Mountain.  I am now the only New Mexican competing in the Rocky Mountain Division of the US Freestyle Competitive program. As my coaches and the competitions are held in Colorado, my family and I must travel extensively for training and competitions. I am now on the Telluride Ski Team.

I ended the 2018 season with a Second Place finish in Dual Moguls at the RQS Championships in Winter Park. This year, I moved up to the highest level in the most competitive regional division in the U.S.  More than half the athletes on the U.S. Freestyle (Mogul) Ski Team consistently come from the Rocky Mountain Division. I compete against kids my age as well as high school and college aged athletes (including Japanese and Australian, and Park City athletes) who attend specialized ski academies where they train every day. So far, I competed at Steamboat, Aspen, Vail, and Copper Mountain. I earned a spot in the top 10 for my age group (under 15) in all but one of these competitions.

Next up is Division Championships in Telluride.

To help prepare for this year, I spent a week in Park City, Utah training on the Water Ramp at the U.S. Olympic Center of Excellence. This facility allows me to practice my aerial tricks, including back flips. In each run, I do a back tuck and a backflip iron cross. I'm going to start working on a backflip truck driver, cork 7, Lincoln Loop and flat spin next. I also traveled to Whistler, British Columbia, Canada to attend Momentum Ski Camp and joined the Telluride team for training on Mt. Hood, Oregon. 

My goal is to qualify for U.S. Junior Nationals.

This year should be pretty sick.
