Help protect our Moenkopi-Hopi senom (people)
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Brian Monongye. I have successfully started a basic supply drive for our Hopi people in Upper and Lower Moenkopi villages. Moenkopi is located 75 mi North of Flagstaff AZ where the Hopi Nation meets the Navajo Nation via US 160 and AZ 264.
Moenkopi is different from most Hopi villages, as we are not located close to any other Hopi villages within the Hopi Nation. Within our upper and lower villages of Moenkopi, not all our village members have running water and electricity. This has impact on our villages by being exposed to the COVID19 pandemic in a serious way. Our elders, children and people with pre-existing conditions appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with this virus.
Our goal now is to provide our village members with as much basic needs as possible to stay home, and stay safe and healthy. Most if not all of these supplies are not readily available to purchase in the surrounding border towns due to the high demand, and shelves becoming increasingly empty. Therefore these supplies must be purchased in the Phoenix area and shipped to Moenkopi by our volunteers.
We are asking for monetary donations. Your donation will help us cover the cost of basic supplies such as:
>masks
>non latex gloves (nitrel)
>paper towel
>tolite paper
>cleaning supplies (clorox/bleach...wipes)
>hand sanitizer
>hand soap.....and much more
No donation is too small, and we are so grateful for any help we can get. The more we raise the more we can purchase for our village members.
Together we can support our Elders and village members who are in need.
Kwa'kwa....Askwali (thank you)
