Modify Salon #SmallBusinessRelief

To say that things are challenging right now is an understatement. Covid-19 has affected everyone in the world in some way, and we are  one of those businesses. Due to the Washington state mandates to close all salons as well as many other businesses in addition to the "Stay Home, Stay Safe" requirements, Modify Hair Lounge has has had to close the doors. Our salon plans to continue to remain closed until it is deemed safe to reopen to ensure we are all doing our part and helping to keep others safe and healthy. Although the mandate is scheduled until April 7th, we are realistic that it might go on much longer. 

As many know, I own a chair rental salon in Seattle and every one of my stylists is considered a self employed small business owner and and each of us is responsible for paying our rent, insurance and utilities. Unfortunately, there are no benefits at this time that any of us can qualify for and we are not able to generate income until we are able to reopen the salon. Although, we are hoping that something will become available to us soon.

I  humbly ask if you have anything to spare if you could donate $10 to help towards the overall salon rent to buy  all of us time until we can reopen.   I am so grateful that gofundme, Yelp and Quickbooks have donated funds to help small businesses by matching $500 if we raise at least $500. This is an effort to generate enough revenue to cover 4-6 weeks of rent for the salon and stylists.  All proceeds will be used to provide financial relief for us as a whole and will directly affect the salon overhead so that the  stylist can have financial relief from paying rent. It's truly hard to ask, but sometimes we have to pull together and do whatever we can to help each other.  If you are unable to donate I would also encourage any words of encouragement and if you've been in before a review  wouldn't hurt. 

Each of us stylist hope to see you on the other side of this where we will pay you back by always doing our best to make you feel your best self, provide great life advice, and provide a safe welcoming place for you to get away and decompress. I know we are all gonna need it!
