Our story:
When we met in 2017 one of the first things we found in common was our shared desire to adopt a child. Our journey has brought us to this season, ready to pursue the dream of growing our family. The adoption process is full of highs and lows, starts and stops and we are so excited to have you join us through this special time in whatever way, whether with prayers, words of wisdom, or financial support.
What’s the timeline?
We are active for a match! We review cases as they come in and could match at any time now.
Why is adoption so costly?
While the cost of adoption is one of our biggest obstacles, this is not merely a financial ask; we believe that community is invaluable to raising a child, and are also asking that you partner with us as we tackle the task of shaping a life by being a part of a supportive broader community for our family.
Adoption is costly and fees are mostly required up front. The following list represents some potential expenditures that contribute to the high cost of adoption.
-Social work services involved in matching a child
-Legal services to terminate parental rights and officialize the adoption
-Home study completion
-Expenses of birth mother ahead of delivery
-Birth parent counseling, adoptive parent preparation and training
-Travel to pick up the baby (we are open to matches across the United States)
-Room and board for pickup; some states require you to stay for set periods of time
You can't know how much your love and support means to us as we embark on this new adventure. While we know it will be a long rocky road, we cannot imagine a stronger community of friends and family to come alongside us. This is only the beginning and we're so glad you're here!
