Modern Panhandling

#UPDATE# Mike is home and doing well. He did have a setback this past weekend and spent another 3 days in the hospital which could delay him going back to work. Medical bill have already started to come in (we do have insurance but our deductible is high). We hate asking but we all need a little help sometimes! Mike is the “gun guy” of northern Colorado and is loved and respected by so many amazing friends and customers of this community! He worked for ACE Hardware for nearly 20 years and now runs the rifle department at Scheels He experienced a pretty severe heart attack on Saturday night and ended up having triple bypass open heart surgery 12 hours later. He is doing as well as can be expected but once he gets home to start the recovery, he will be out of work for a minimum of 6 weeks. Short term disability and insurance at Scheels is wonderful and a blessing but tthe medical bills will be insane, I’m sure. His wife is a stay at home Mama and needs to be there to help care for him through this (although is now going to seek work!). Mike feels like fundraising organizations are basically modern day panhandling but with a wife and three sons, we just need a little financial boost!
