Medical & mobility help for Michael

Please help my good friend Marisol and her family.  Her son Michael, my son Jacobs best friend, is a loving, smart 16 yr old boy living with AMC (Arthrogryposis multiple congenital).  Due to his disability, Michael does not have use of his hands or legs yet he never lets  his disability define him. He currently takes advanced classes in his high school and is an honor student. His mom Marisol is a single mom of two with a very limited income.  Michael has already undergone 10+ surgeries and will continue to need additional surgeries as he continues to grow.  Michael uses a power wheelchair to get around.  Due to the wheelchairs weight and size and his inability to transfer in and out of a vehicle, the family must rely on their only means of transportation, an old adapted minivan. The vans ramp continuously malfunctions and the van is taking on water due to extreme rusting underneath.  The family can not afford to purchase another adapted vehicle and it is not recommended or financially beneficial to try to fix the one they have.  
Please help me in my efforts to give them the opportunity to get into a safe adapted vehicle as well as possibly having a little extra to put away for when she has to take off work for Michaels next surgery.  This family gives so much to others and never asks for anything in return.
