Providing a hand up, not just a hand out .
Mobile Ministries is a locally based ministry in the greater New Bedford area, whose mission is to give food, clothes, and dignity to the homeless and those in need, while sharing God's love and concern for them.
We believe God calls us to help these: the least, last, lonely and lost of our society.
Volunteers at Mobile Ministries go out into the community with a catering truck seven times every week. Going on 10 years of daily truck runs, we've recently incurred a number of unordinary expenses that we need to cover and that are important to the operation of this vital ministry: replacement stove with required fire suppression hood, new tires, fuel injectors, LP gas tank, water tank, burner thermocouples, and 3 outdoor sheds to store water, food and clothes.
We need to come together as a community to put an end to homelessness.
Would you please consider a donation?

About Mobile Ministries
Mobile Ministries, Inc., which started out as Mobile Loaves and Fishes in 2009-10, bought out the truck and started its own local 501(c)3 in 2016. Its base is located at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in New Bedford.
The ministry has over 100 dedicated volunteers from over a dozen participating area churches, including a synagogue. These volunteers hit the road 6 days a week- rain, snow, or shine- delivering over 50,000 meals, clothes, shoes, blankets, toiletries, etc. to help the homeless, helpless, and hopeless among us.
We travel into the New Bedford community with a catering truck seven times every week: the North End on Tuesday and Friday nights, the South End on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, and Downtown at the Salvation Army on Monday and Thursday nights, as well as Saturday mornings.
There's a growing need on the streets and, as you can imagine, it takes a lot of time, money and resources to fulfill those needs. The next time you see someone with a 'homeless' sign, consider how YOU would feel if you had no roof over your head, no good clothes to wear, and nothing to eat, especially with the COLD of winter approaching! If you don't know whether to give a homeless person money or not, we suggest that a donation to Mobile Ministries is the safest, most effective and direct way to put that gift into helping the needy and homeless on the street.

This explanation of tips and payment processing/platform fees is copied from the Go Fund Me page:
"Our community of generous donors allows us to keep GoFundMe free. Donors are able to leave a voluntary tip when they contribute to a cause on GoFundMe, and these tips allow us to maintain our free platform, continue helping those in need, and pay our dedicated employees."
"Payment processing fees vs. platform fees: It’s important to understand that payment processing fees are different from platform fees. While GoFundMe fees no longer exist, payment processors like WePay and PayPal charge recipients a standard processing fee (2.9% + $.30 per transaction). This allows for credit card processing and the safe transfer of funds. These payment processing fees are deducted from the donation total. For example, when someone donates $100 through GoFundMe, the payment processing fee would come to $3.20 (2.9% of the total plus $0.30). GoFundMe saves you money by charging no platform fee."
