Family Needs Accessible Van
Donation protected
My name is Ernest 'CHIP' Johnson. I am 54 years young, married, with 3 teenage children. I have Cerebral Palsy.
As I have gotten older my mobility has decreased, and I cannot do things that I did previously. I now have my own apartment due to speciality equipment which will not fit in family home.
I am asking for help to purchase a wheel-chair accessible van so that I may continue to be a husband and a father to my children. The van would help me stay connected with them, and would allow me to stay active in the disability community, and boy scouts in which my whole family is very involved. Without this mobility I am losing touch with my entire family.
All the money given will be used to purchase a wheel-chair van, because i cannot use my mobility equipment in the old car my wife drives. Safety and accessibililty are critical for myself and family.
Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. A van would give me freedom and allow me to support my family in many ways, and would give me back a sense of worth that continues to lessen as my disability needs change over time. A vehicle would help me stay connected to my family. Also to help others with disabilities thru BSA and other organizations which I love to support. Autism causes like Camp Encourage. Thank you for listening and fot your financial support. Sincerely, Chip Johnson
