Hurricane Harvey wrought devastation in the Houston area, but also hit close to home for our ML community. Members of our Maximized Living family suffered significant loss due to the unprecedented flooding.
We have three offices in the general vicinity of Houston and a fourth doctor who has had significant damage to his home.
Jay Rojas, a coaching client, was scheduled to open his office September 1st. He moved all of his newly purchased equipment to his garage hoping to protect it from the flood. When he returned to his home, his garage was completely flooded. He lost all equipment purchased for his new clinic. His daughter, who is his CA, lost everything in her apartment, which was under 7ft of water.
Dr. Suzanne Bilbrey in Spring, TX has been impacted primarily through her patients. While her own home and office are fine, over half of her patients were forced to evacuate. Many have lost homes and vehicles. She is focusing on how to help her patients and community in ways beyond chiropractic care. Dr. Bilbrey dealt with the wrath of a hurricane and flooding when she first opened in April of 2016.
Dr. Phillip Barnwell had to evacuate his home and move in with his son due to rising water. His daughter, who is an Associate in his office, was rescued by boat because her apartment was completely flooded and she lost everything. Their Clinic has been closed since the storm began.
Maximized Living has set up a Go Fund Me Account for those who would like to donate toward helping our Doctors get back to doing what they are so great at as soon as possible. ML has made an initial contribution of $2,500.00 We will be looking to our Relationship Managers to keep us informed during the period of recovery.
