<div>In January 2020 just a few weeks before Elke our oldest daughter was born we lost my Dad Peter to Motor Neuron Disease just 13 months after he was diagnosis. Motor Neuron Disease affects the nerve cells between the brain and spinal cord. These neurones gradually become damaged, and eventually die, causing muscle weakening which ultimately waste away effecting simple movements such as walking, talking, breathing and swallowing. It is a truly devastating disease to witness. There is no known cause, no treatment, and currently no cure.
