Hi, everyone. I am a Debutante participating in the M-NCPPC 20th Anniversary Teen Cotillion. It is a 16-week program that provides youth development for 40 teens like me from Prince George’s County, MD.
Through a series of workshops, special events, community service projects, cultural trips and more, the Debs and Beaus cultivate:
° Professional Development
° Social Etiquette
° Community Engagement
° Empowerment and Independence
° Fellowship with peers and adult mentors
On May 6, 2018, our growth and leadership will be celebrated with a stunning and elegant coming-out gala where we will showcase our new-found talents in front of more than 800 family members and community leaders.
About me… I am a sophomore at Charles Herbert Flowers High School. I achieved a 4.0 GPA during my freshman year and I am on the honor roll for my sophomore year. My favorite subjects in school are Computer Science and Art. Having a career in cybersecurity is my ultimate goal. I want to be a hacker – a good hacker that helps to solve and prevent crimes. I plan to continue my education at the University of Maryland - College Park - majoring in Computer Science with an emphasis in Cybersecurity. I am an active member of the Largo Community Church, faithfully participating in the youth ministry and the dance ministry. I love helping people – I have volunteered at the SHARE Food Network multiple times preparing food packages for those in need. In my spare time, I love playing video games, watching movies and spending time with my family.
All of us teens are working together to meet our Cotillion fundraising goals, and I am asking for your help with donations of any amount.
