Medical Mission Trip to El Salvador

This July 2015 I will be going on a medical mission trip to El Salvador. Along with several fellow students from the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, I will join a group of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and non-medical personnel and set up a clinic in the rural town of La Union. We will run the medical clinic for 5 days, and provide health care services and medications to 2000-2500 local patients who otherwise do not have access to medical care.
This trip is organized through Global Health Outreach (GHO), an outreach of the Christian Medical and Dental Association. GHO organizes 40-50 medical missions trips each year, to many countries around the world. The cost of the trip is $2300 per student. We students are planning fundraisers to help with some of our costs, but every little bit helps! If you are able to donate to help cover the cost of this trip, I would truly appreciate it!
I am very excited, because I have wanted to do something like this since I was little. I feel blessed to have found this opportunity, especially since it is orchestrated by such a great organization, and I will be sharing my experiences with friends from pharmacy school. By making a donation toward this trip, you will help patients who are suffering from treatable diseases, and also will help me realize a dream that until now has been impossible.
