A Night for Mike

Mike is a great guy with a crappy prognosis. He was part of the ALDI Merchandising team for a while but part of ALDI Ops for many years before.
Mike’s story:
Mike has been battling cancer for almost 4 years. He has a young family; wife Helen and children Elliot (8) and Gemma (6).
The past 4 years have been tough, and life for them now is a wave they ride as a family with good news one day and devastating news the next. Elliot and Gemma don’t remember Michael without cancer.
Unfortunately, despite continued determination and focus in fighting this disease and Michael’s amazing resilience and strength, the cancer keeps coming back. Michael has had several liver surgeries now and has gone through much chemotherapy which controls the cancer and makes it go away only temporarily. His last liver surgery was at the end of November 2018 and he was given some hope earlier this year with a trial drug that seemed to be working for a while. His last scan in October showed that the cancer has already spread again and Michael was given a timeline of how long they expected him to live, and it is not long.
