Medical expenses for Renee' Pullen

As many of you know, my sweet mama, Renee' Pullen, was diagnosed with cancer on November 3rd of last year. I will briefly explain this fast whirlwind of an experience. Mama started experiencing a pain under her left arm in July of 2014, she would go to the doctor and they would put her on an antibiotic and the pain would subside. Over the next few months the doctors noticed the mass was growing so on October 30th she saw a surgeon in Dothan. He said the mass had to be removed immediately, and scheduled surgery on the following Monday, November 3rd. When he got in there she had about 20 cancerous lymph nodes under that arm alone. He removed a couple and sent them off to pathology. Once the pathology report came back, they were unable to determine exactly what type of cancer mama had. She, along with the doctors, thought she should go to Emory for a second opinion and additional testing. We waited for over a month to get into Emory, and once she was seen there they told us that it was breast cancer. On January 2nd, we were told that it was stage 4 breast cancer that had metastasized to the bones. Mama began radiation and chemotherapy a few weeks later. She did ten days of radiation and will wait and give her bones a break before starting this again at a later time. Her first dose of chemotherapy will be for 9 weeks, and she just completed her 4th week. Each week she goes to chemo she has to pay about $700 out-of-pocket. The doctors told her that the cancer is not curable but it is treatable, so she will continue to receive treatments, which will be a continuous cost for her and daddy. By setting up this site I am hoping to help relieve some of the financial burden that mama and daddy will have throughout this process.
