Rockstars For A Day
On June 7th, the Malone Middle School chorus students will have the opportunity to join over 3,000 students to participate in the American Young Voices concert at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY. AYV has only been in the US since 2014 and this is the 2nd year it’s being held on Albany!
So many of my chorus students will never get the chance to make it this far away from home or to see a venue of this size. It is my hope to give these students a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The only things we need to worry about are transportation and meals.
For the evening performance, the students have been asked to wear an AYV t-shirt or a plain white shirt. It is would love to provide an AYV t-shirt to all of the students. They deserve to have a memento of the night they were Rockstars!
We give our heartfelt thanks to each and every person that helps us reach our goal! We are offering rewards for different levels of donations that will culminate on the night of our Spring Choral concert on May 10th. Please come join us and get a preview of what the students will be singing on June 7th!
Our expenses will include:
*2 buses - a total of 108 students and chaperones.
*An AYV t-shirt for each student
*Lunch on the way to Albany for each student
