MakeMyMotherProud are pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Santa’s Sleigh run. We cannot believe it has been a two years since Sandy has hit our home Far Rockaway and still we have families that are feeling the effects.

The Santa Sleigh Run was inspired by wanting to help people that lived in locations that were too far from distribution sites, parents that was disabled and couldn’t make it out to locations to get toys for their children and wanting to bring holiday cheer right to people door steps.

Last year, the Sleigh run was very successful. We traveled over 5 miles singing and dancing through the Rockaway Streets on a 27ft float provided by Bonds float. People came out their doors and waved from their windows as we passed by with Santa blessing the community with his “Ho Ho Ho” on the sound waves. The best part was when we ran out of toys, the community still was excited to see us coming and ran to the sleigh with open arms just to say “Thank you for lifting my spirits”.

Monies raised will be used as following:
Float: $2,000
Costumes for the kids(20): $400
Candy bags(1000): $200
Food for volunteers (breakfast and Lunch): $200
Photograpy: $200 (children will be able to come on float to take a picture with Santa)
