Lola's surgery

Lola is a precious 7-year-old pug that is quickly losing her vision in both eyes.  Her 79-year-old owner rescued her when she was less than a year old and the two have been inseparable ever since.

While there are worse things than being blind, for Lola & Gayle it would be devastating.  The two of them go everywhere together and Lola’s favorite things are playing with the ball in the living room, sitting on her window perch & watching the squirrels outside and playing with her friends at the dog park every day.  Gayle & Lola also visit patients in transitional care facilities & nursing homes and bring so much joy to people going through personal health or emotional struggles.
 
There is an animal Ophthalmologist in our area that can restore her vision with cataract removal & lens implants in both eyes but the cost is $3500. For the best possible outcome, it's recommended that she have the surgery before the end of August.  Gayle is a senior citizen on a fixed income who still works part-time and this is more than she can afford.  Any donation to help my friend would be greatly appreciated.  Gayle is a proud Norwegian that does not ask for help but I’m hoping we can raise enough money to make this possible.  Lola is her whole life and her heart is broken thinking that her little pug will not be able to enjoy all her favorite activities.
