Myles Litchmore Dunbar is currently wrongly detained
in Greece for a crime he did not commit.
Myles was arrested on 23rd July 2013, whilst on holiday with friends in Malia, Crete. In the early hours of the 23/07/13, three people that Myles went on holiday with was involved in a brawl where a young man was fatally stabbed and killed. Although present, Myles' involvement was trying to break up the various fights going on during the brawl. Many witnesses have testified to this.
The MLD Campaign 'Stop the Violence Break the Silence' is raising funds towards Myles' legal cost and maintenance whilst he is being held in prison. Myles' mum has been in Greece since July and goes to see him three times a week. On these visits she often has to provide food, clothing and money for his day to day needs. Since he has being held, he has had his trainers stolen on 3 occasions and he is not often provided with sufficient food to sustain him.
Whilst we are doing everything possible to secure Myles' release, it has been extremely difficult to get a full understanding of why Myles was implicated and is being held as the main suspect. The Greek authorities remain happy to keep Myles detained until they decide on a trial date, which could be anything between one to two years. The British Authorities are unwilling to assist with the investigation.
With the ongoing investigations that his family has to carry out in order to secure his release, a mountain of legal costs is building up. Myles' parents have depleted all of their funds and are asking you for your kind assistance to help to bring their son home and to find the right perpetrator who committed this crime.
