Medical bills for Cancer Treatment

This is very painful for me to write.  But this is how desparate I am for help.  We will have been married 26 years this July.  My wife discovered a very large lump in her breast, the fall of 2010.  She was trained in the alternative health industry and enjoyed working at Whole Foods helping others.  She decided to see a holistic practitioner for treatment.  Through herbs, diet, and lifestyle changes.  The tumor began to shrink.  She thought she was on the right track, even though there were some issues and pain along the way. A few years later she started having pain in one hip and started limping.  3 months later she was forced to quit her job.  We no longer had insurance. She continued with chiropractic treatments, but they weren't working.

Then she started having memories of horrible childhood sexual abuse. Her hair started falling out.  She could no longer get into a bed, and was forced to sleep on the couch.  Her hips and pelvis were shutting down.  She would wake up in the middle of the night with her shirt soaked in blood.  The emotional trauma was that intense. She thought that all of the pain was a result of the emotional trauma.  I was so worried.  There were times I would leave for work and didn't know if she would be alive when I came home.  I would regularly check to see if she was still breathing.

She is so strong.  She kept pulling through.  She was forced to go on narcotics for the pain.  It got to the point where she was up for 2 days, just crying out in pain.  At this time, her weight was dropping.  We know now, it was muscle wasting.  She decided to see an integrative dr.  I have been wanting her to see a dr but she was very strong in her belief system.  It was ultimately her choice.  She was so mislead by the holistic practitioner.  I was excited she wanted to see a Dr.

Because the tumor was still shrinking, she thought he could help her with the muscle wasting and possible PTSD, that she thought was causing everything, he immediately ordered a cancer test.  The test only showed circulating cancer cells in the blood, not any tumors.  The number was low when the test came back.  So it reinforced her belief that this was a result of emotional trauma.  She immediately started her on IV C treatments.  She was getting worse.  After 2 months, she could barely get out of bed.  I could see her deteriorating.  She lost the life she had, the life we had.  It was to painful and uncomfortable to go and do anything.
She quit those treatments and decided to let things calm down.  After she got stronger, she would really go after the cancer.  She was always taking some things for cancer but she was more focused on getting stronger.  She didn't realize what was going on in her body.  The tumors were still improving or at least not getting worse.  Then she started having coughing attacks and spitting up phlegm.  One time a horrible memory came with it, there were panic attacks as well.  I finally called 911.  She was literally drowning.  They drained 1 1/2 gallons of fluid from her chest cavity.  After a CT scan, MRI and Chest X-rays, the cancer had spread everywhere.  Her mobility is extremely limited.
She is still extremely positive.  I have never seen anyone have a better attitude.  She just says, well the mountain I have to climb just got a lot bigger, but people come out of this all the time.

Since being out of the hospital she is already started feeling better.  She is on a very strict regime.  If anyone knows how to beat this she does.  Now that she knows exactly what she is dealing with.  The alternative treatments she need are expensive.  They are giving her some hormone treatments as well as shots to stregthen her bones.  She has the knowledge to beat this monster just not the finances.  I have had to cut back my work to care for her.  It is frustrating to know there are treatment options out there but there isn't any money for them.
Please whatever help you can offer, is so much appreciated.  Please help my wife be a success story for Stage 4 Cancer.
$15,000 is the estimated cost for treatment just for the next 3 months.  Any funds received above the medical expenses will be donated to a non profit organization or we will use the additional funds for the additional 3 months treatment.
