Will's House of Hope Haiti Trip

Hello everyone! This May I have been presented a wonderful opportunity to tag along with my peers and my local church (The Bridge) here in Maryville, Missouri to visit Haiti! We will be visiting a Christian ministry known as House of Hope Haiti. The ministry is dedicated to spreading the love of Jesus by providing food, shelter, clothing, and both Christian and secular education to the children of Haiti. They currently have two orphanages of 70 children and a K-12 school attended by over 600 students. The care, education, and fellowship the children receive from HOHH gives them a great advantage over their circumstances. My visit to this ministry will give me the opportunity to volunteer in ongoing projects and spend time with the children of both the school and the orphanage. This experience presents a great opportunity for me to share God’s love and see what God’s love is doing in one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere and in the hearts of many young Haitians. I am excited to enjoy fellowship with the children as we encourage each other. I believe my heart and eyes will be opened by the joy that they find in Christ. This experience will bring joy to the children and in return I will be overwhelmed with unimaginable joy and encouragement. This trip will be something that I will carry with me for the rest of my life and be a source of motivation in all my future endeavors. Prayers are a wonderful help to me as I prepare for this journey as well as any financial support! Financial support will go towards plane travel, room & board while traveling, and the projects I will be involved in at HOHH. All prayerful and financial support will be a great help to making this dream become a reality this summer! The date is tentatively scheduled for May 5th through the 12th.
