Healing for S. Sudan - Tanya's Trip

I have an amazing opportunity to join my Methodist Health System coworkers and physicians and community volunteers on a medical mission trip to Kajo Keji, South Sudan in Africa for 10 days in late March of 2015. In order to make this trip a reality for me, I am asking for help in raising funds to offset my travel expenses.
This trip is organized by The Healing Kadi Foundation in Omaha. For nearly a decade, volunteers of HKF have been working to bring modern, reliable healthcare to what is now South Sudan. HKF has hosted 5 medical mission trips and provided medical care for tens of thousands of people who may have otherwise never had an opportunity to see a doctor. In 2013, HKF opened the Marilyn Miller Memorial Clinic in Kajo Keji County with a staff of 14. In the first year of operation, more than 10,000 people received care there - many travelling from hundreds of miles away! The goal of HKF is to begin construction on a permanent hospital in 2017. All funds raised on this page will be donated to The Healing Kadi Foundation and will be used to cover my travel expenses to South Sudan. If funds raised exceed my goal, those dollars will be used by The Healing Kadi Foundation to help keep the clinic operational year round. All donations are 100% tax-deductible. I will ensure that you receive a tax receipt for your records.

My attention to detail, communication skills and general bossiness will be put to work on a variety of tasks that contribute to the greater good of the mission in other important, but less critical ways. :-)
