This is the official fundraising campaign to help support the Milton Keynes Green Party Parliamentary Candidates for 2015.
Your donation will help us to:
- Fund the parliamentary candidate deposits
- Travel around MK to promote our candidates
- Deliver leaflets to every household in MK
- Create and purchase promotional materials
What will you get in return?
We are extremely grateful for all donations received and every donor will receive an invitation to an exclusive 'Meet The Candidates' evening with drinks and nibbles once our target has been reached!
Milton Keynes North - Jennifer Marklew
Jenny studied International Relations at the University of Aberystwyth, and is currently working towards a Masters in Philosophy with the OU whilst working full time at National Energy Services (a pioneer of the energy rating of buildings). A firm believer that equality will benefit every aspect of our lives, Jenny is very passionate about sharing and developing ideas that can help bring us closer to an equal society.
Jenny says - “A society should not be judged on the amount of money it generates, but by the happiness and quality of life enjoyed by its citizens. The challenges that we face have been largely the result of a money-centric system, driven by encouraging greed and profit. It is unsustainable on multiple levels, the environment being just one. This is reflected by the considered and extensive policies of the Green Party. I want to get these policies out there - people need to know that we have answers to many of the hardships they face'".
Milton Keynes South - Samantha Pancheri
As a committed local campaigner, Samantha balances her time between raising her children and helping residents of Milton Keynes with local issues. Having studied Anthropology with human rights studies at Roehampton University, she sees the growing inequality in today's society as unforgivable and is devoted to bringing about positive change for the lives of ordinary people.
"A dramatic overhaul of government is now overdue. For too long, parliament has been the playground of the privileged, manipulating society in order to make wealthy people even wealthier, all at the expense of everyday citizens. It is time we took democracy back into our own hands and created a government that works for the people, not for profits. The Green Party's policies are focused on creating a fair and just society, in which nobody is exploited or oppressed. I will strive to share that message with people and reassure them that a happy life is within their reach."

Democracy currently requires significant financial output - the money to stand in an election, to spend on promotional materials, and to ensure an effective campaign. We ask for your donations so that we might be able to participate now, and hopefully in the future create a fairer system for all.
The Green Party do not take donations from lobbyists, tax-avoiding corporations or those with hidden interests. We are committed to transparency, and will return donations from sources that do not meet our criteria.
