John's medical fund

Our dear father, and friend to many, was recently diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer, and a spot on his intestines. We were all shocked to hear this terrible news, but are pulling through together with friends and family to help him through this difficult time! Throughout the years  he has been a local contractor, as well as worked for the local school districts. Currently he is on disability with his employer, as he receives his treatments.
Anyone that knows John, or knows of him knows how loving and funny he always is. He always puts his kids and grandkids first, and would give any friend or stranger the shirt off his back. He has such a big, loving heart of gold!
He was scheduled to have chemotherapy. After two months of treatments, they determined it wasn't working since the cancers have grown. They just started a new plan with him and just started his new treatment of immunotherapy at Corning hospital. This treatment was just passed three weeks ago by the FDA and works by boosting up his natural immune system which is proven to significantly help destroy the lung cancer. We want to help him with his transportation costs and hotel costs of having to go to two different hospitals every week.

Although he has insurance, his out of pocket medical costs are high, as well as the cost of the surgery he will need at New York Presbyterian Hospital after the final rounds of his treatment shrink the tumor enough. With every dollar it will give him peace of mind.
