BROCK 2 KENYA
Donation protected
My name is Madison Abley and i’m studying at brockenhurst college doing, law, psychology and sport science. At my college there are many opportunities for students to take part in extra curricular activities, which are called enrichments. One of the enrichments being Brock2Kenya. This is a once in a life time opportunity where students get the chance to travel to Africa and help children and teens with their education, health care and wellbeing. in addition to this, we will also get the chance to help with construction of water fountains, shelters etc. This is a chance for us students to develop a broader understanding of how people who are less fortunate than us live.
Throughout my life i’ve always been dedicated to my education and other extra curricular activities. However it became apparent that when helping, teaching and guiding others i seem to be in my element. With this in mind i knew that i’d enjoy volunteering as i would have the ability to really make change. I am eager to learn and develop an understanding in diplomacy of how people in Kenya live, hopefully being able to see different experiences and cultures.
Between now and October 2024 when we are set to fly to Kenya, i will be organising and conducting a variety of different fundraisers. My first and main fundraiser being:
‘ Walk2Brock 4 Brock2Kenya ‘
The walk with start in my home town Swanage, Dorset and will be finishing across the county Brockenhurst, Hampshire. This will involve me having to do training for the event and hopefully organising a group to take on the challenge with me.
Thank you for reading my story. Hopefully i’ve convinced you to support me; whether that’s by making a donation or joining me on my 28 mile walk. Feel free to send me an email @[email redacted]
if you have any questions about my goal or if you would like to join me for my marathon.
