E3 Cares: Hurricane Maria PR Relief

Donation protected

Dear E3 Family,

We have seen the devastating aftermath that Hurricane Maria has caused in Puerto Rico and have heard from many employees eager to help those affected.

Hurricane Maria was the10th most intense Atlantic hurricane on record and the strongest to hit Puerto Rico since 1928. The hurricane left the island in a complete state of devastation. As of today (a month after the hurricane directly hit the island), 74% of American citizens in Puerto Rico do not have electricity, 41% do not have cell phone access, and 22% do not have access to drinking water. (Status.pr)

Several employees have families in Puerto Rico that have been directly impacted by the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. As a result, E3 Cares will be sponsoring a fundraiser to support Hurricane Maria relief efforts in Puerto Rico. Funds will be used to purchase water filtration systems that can be used by individuals, families, and communities to have access to safe drinking water. Your contributions will be able to help in the following ways:

· $20: Personal filter can purify water for 1 person for a year (approximately 1,000 liters of water)

· $75: Family filter can purify water for a family of 4 for a year (approximately 18,000 liters of water)

· $330: Community filter can purify water to serve communities for several years (between 70,000 – 100,000 liters of water)

Our goal is to raise $2,000 (which would provide safe drinking water for a year for approximately 100 individuals, 27 families, or 7 rural communities depending on filter type). Please note that every donation (no matter how small or big) will make all the difference in the lives of the disaster survivors.

E3 employees will be working with people on the ground to deliver water filters to communities that need safe drinking water.

Thank you for your generosity and support, and please keep everyone impacted by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico in your thoughts!
