Help KEEP me in Nicaragua!

A little about my journey:

As most people know, I stopped working as a full time nanny around May of last year. It was probably one of the hardest decisions I have made in my life thus far, because they truly had become family, and I couldn’t imagine not seeing “my babies” every day. Since then, it’s been a crazy journey of ups and downs. If I were to tell you “its been such a wonderful season” then I would be lying. I’m going to be real-it has been hard. I constantly had to remind myself that God had a perfect plan for my life and that I have a God given purpose. All he asked me to do was to give him my hopes and dreams & fully trust him with my future. I was at the point of giving up and just settling, and right there in that moment of weakness…..HE showed up and reminded me of who he was.

Anybody that knows me, knows the two things that bring me the most joy in life- kids, and helping others. God has placed a compassion in my heart for the unwanted, hurting, and lost people in this world. Ever since I was 12 I have dreamed of doing missionary work, and I know God didn’t plant that dream in my heart without a purpose. So I just want to tell you how amazing God is-right when I felt like giving up, I was presented with an amazing opportunity by one of the pastors at my church. It combines both of my passions. Jesus never ceases to amaze me.

Its GO time:

Some may call me crazy, but I will be leaving in 2 weeks (YES, I said two weeks..haha) to move to Nicaragua for 3 months. Nicaragua is the second poorest country in Latin America after Haiti. I will be working in the slums creating food and medical programs for an organization called Beauty Restored ( On a daily basis I will be helping to establish feeding centers and collecting medical cases for children with deformities. Also I will get to do lots of volunteering at an orphanage that is partnered with them.

My first request is for you to join me in prayer. Please pray for my heart to be prepared, my ability to love others to be enlarged, and that the joy of Christ will flood my heart so that I can really and truly be used by God to pour into these people who may have never experienced the love of Jesus.

The next thing that I will need, is financial support . Please know that my sole desire is to impact the kingdom of God and love on the people of Nicaragua—but this requires money. ANY financial support towards my $5,000 goal will be greatly appreciated and divinely rewarded by Gods Favor. I will be keeping you all updated and will be able to share stories of how God is moving.

I feel honored and humbled for this opportunity. Please pray that I steward this season well. I am EXPECTANT for a life changing journey.

Hebrews 12:1-2 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every weight that hinders us and the sin that so easily entangles us. And let us run with perserverance the race marked for us. 2 -Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the thrown of God.”

I love you all!!!
