Mirakal's Medical Fund

One of our beloved freshman ROTC cadets experienced an allergic reaction to a prescribed medication causing her to seizure on campus. An ambulance was called after she was not responsive when asked about her health. The ambulance took her to the Emergency Room where she was observed and monitored for hours.

Hospital expenses have mounted up to $2,700+. She is a resident of Georgia but her permanent address is in Massachusetts, thus her family's health insurance does not cover anything outside of Massachusetts. Additionally, neither Valdosta State University (VSU) or the Student Health Center could cover her emergency visit. Needless to say, it is very difficult for this young cadet to pay her medical expenses. It is our strong fear that she may be unable to return to the university due to this medical bill and I would hate for VSU and Arnold Air Society (AAS) to lose such a promising student and active member. In this unfortunate event, we are reaching out to our AAS family and abroad to help this student-military officer candidate highly subsidize her medical costs so that she can continue her education first and foremost and reach her aspirations of serving this country.
