The goals of the 2014/2015 hockey season for the Stittsville RAMS Major Novice Rep B team was to compete hard each period of ever game, practice with the desire to learn and develop as players, and most importantly, to have fun playing the game they love to play while making lasting memories with their teammates.
These 17 energetic and enthusiastic 8yr. olds, have made great strides in fulfilling these goals. They have demonstrated hard work, determination and passion during practices, experienced both great wins and heartbreaking losses and have learned discipline and respect in the dressing room and sportsmanship on and off the ice.
We recently participated in the Regional Silver Stick Competition in Cobourg, Ontario and with an undefeated record won the Championship for their division! However this specific journey doesn't end here.
As a result of our win, the team has earned the opportunity to travel to St. Clair Shores, Michigan, and participate in the International Siver Stick tournament being held on Jan. 23-25, 2015. Teams from across Canada and the US will compete for the North American Silver Stick title.
A tournament like this is a once in a lifetime opportunity! What a fantastic hockey experience this will be for these young players and for all of the families.
But, a tournament like this is very expensive. We are seeking your support through donations to help cover the cost of registration and the team transportation on a coach bus to and from the tournament.
Continuing this hockey journey and creating more wonderful memories is now the goal!
